A Birthday Card for My Husband

I made this card for my husband’s birthday using simple layers, texture, and a sentiment that made me laugh. 😆

Sometimes masculine cards can feel a little harder to design, so I tend to keep them clean and simple with neutral colours and bold sentiments.

The plaid embossed cardstock adds texture without making the card feel too busy, and the layered die cuts help draw attention to the sentiment.

And honestly… “Happy Birthday. You’re Old” felt very appropriate 😄

One of my favourite things about cards like this is that they come together quickly but still feel polished and personal. A simple layout, a few embellishments, and a fun sentiment can go a long way.

I also love having a few go-to masculine designs that can easily be adapted for birthdays, Father’s Day, or everyday cards.
