Tulip Inspiration to Balloon Card🎈
One of my favourite ways to start designing a card is by looking outside the craft room for inspiration. Sometimes it’s a colour combination in nature, a beautiful fabric, or even a bouquet of flowers sitting on the counter.
This gorgeous tulip bouquet was given to me by a book club friend who owns a local flower farm, and the colours immediately caught my eye. The mix of vibrant pinks, coral tones, soft peach, and fresh greens felt cheerful, playful, and perfect for a celebration card.
The Colour Palette:
Berry Burst
Pretty in Pink
Calypso Coral
Crisp Cantaloupe
Garden Green
From there, the card came together so easily! I pulled out the Balloon Festoon Stamp set - and used the balloon images to echo the rounded tulip shapes and layered the colours to keep the design bright and happy.
I added an embossed sentiment and a few embellishments for the final touches.
One of the things I appreciate most about Stampin’ Up! products is how simple colour coordination becomes. Having matching cardstock, ink, and embellishments makes it easy to turn an inspiration photo into a finished project without second-guessing the palette.
This card was also a reminder that inspiration doesn’t have to start with a sketch or a stamp set — sometimes it starts with noticing colour combinations that make you smile.
