Welcome Baby ๐
This card feels extra special to share today because my nephew is expected to arrive by C-section on Monday, and we are all counting down the hours until we get to meet him.
Of course, I had to create something handmade for the occasion. I wanted the card to feel soft, sweet, and classic โ and these adorable little onesies were the perfect starting point.
It feels extra special making this card knowing my sister will finally get to meet her baby boy soon. ๐
This card features the Cutest Onesie Dies from Stampinโ Up!, which are currently on the Last Chance List for only $14.40 (Cdn) while supplies last. The coordinating little hanger and rattler dies completely stole my heart โ they add such a sweet finishing touch and make the card feel extra playful and baby-themed.
I paired Secret Sea and Cloud Cover for a soft, modern colour combination that feels perfect for a baby boy card. The background was embossed using the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder, which is also currently on the Last Chance List and on sale.
I love the texture it adds โ it reminds me of bubbles and gives the card so much dimension without overpowering the design.
The โwelcomeโ die cut and โBABYโ sentiment are both from retired products that I just couldnโt part with. Sometimes retired favourites are still the perfect finishing touch!
One of my favourite details is the coordinating envelope flap โ itโs such an easy way to make a handmade card feel extra special before itโs even opened.
